The Article Published In The HERITAGE HISTORY, Entitled Freemasonry And The Anti-Christian Movement, By Reverend E. Cahill, On The Matter of The March 23, 1928 Sacred Congregation of The Holy Office's Issuance of An Important Decree Containing The Holy See's Decision On "the nature and purpose of the Association called the Friends of Israel, and on the pamphlet entitled Pax Super Israel, edited by the directors of the Association", Describes In Detail The Reasons The Church Condemned The Position of Freemasonry So Strongely, For So Long (Despite Some Leaders of The Same Openly Supporting The Fraternity) Pointing Out Its Ancient Hebrew Connection & Djewish Origins. Together, Freemasonry Stood Accused With World Djewry And - For A Time At Least - Suffered Much The Same Ridicule & Discredit:

"Points of Contact Between Freemasonry and Djudaism

"Besides the existance of the Cabalistic element in Masonic morals and dogma there are numerous other indications which point to the importance of Djudaism on the early formation and development of Freemasonry.... The Masonic coat-of-arms still used by the Grand Lodge of England is of Djewish design. Some of the more important legends of Freemasonry, especially the Legend of Hiram, on which much of Masonic rite is founded, are Djewish. 'The technical language, symbols, and rites of Masonry are full of Djewish ideas and terms... in the Scottish rite, the dates of all the official documents are given according to the Hebrew month and the Djewish era; and use is made of the older forms of the Djewish alphabet,' Hence, approved Djewish writers generally recognize that practically the whole Masonic ritual is of Djewish origin.

"Special Djewish Rite in Freemasonry

"The Masonic rite of Mizraim, which includes no less and is perhaps, the most esoteric and highly elaborated of all the Masonic rites, has been founded by Djews. So also has been the order of B'nai Beryith ("Sons of the Alliance") and several other organizations of a similair type. The Masonic Rite of Mizraim belongs mainly to Europe, and some of its lodges are Exclusively Djewish. The Order of B'nai Beryith, which is altogethet Djewish, is (or rather was up to some twenty years ago) mainly American, and if not formally and professedly Masonic, bears a striking resemblance to Freemasonry. In its organization and aboard objects, and is in intimate alliance with Masonry."

   And, Elsewhere We Find The Source For This Examination Made Just Over A Decade Later In The Tombs of The SCOTTISH RITE (The Evidence of FREE-MASONRY From Ancient Hebrew Records, By Bro. J.H., M. Chumacierlo [Approved Research By Grand Master, Bro. Jno. S. Davidson), Where It Is Stated Clearly, Through & Throughout: "Masonry is based on Hebrew history and is likewise the exponents of the idealistic ideas". For:

"It can not be disputed, that according to biblical records, King Solomon erected a Grand Temple to the service of the Holy One, emblematical to the Fatherhood of G-d, and the Brotherhood of Man, that he called on Hiram, King of Tyre, who had assisted his father David in building royal palaces, to aid him in the construction of that Temple. Josephus in his Antiquities 'f the Jews (Book VIII, chapter 2), produces even the correspondence that passed between the two monarchs relative thereto. We also read that the King of Tyre sent an eminent workman in metals and woodwork, whose superior, judging from his usurpassed masterwork, never lived. He was the son of a widow from the tribe of Naphtali and his father was from the land of Tyre; he was appointed Chief Architect and Oberseer and in honor of Hiram, King of Tyre was called Hiram Abiv.... (1). The plans and designs of that temple could have only been confided to a few, say to three, five, seven, or more, among whom have been this Overseer, Hiram Abiv.    Infact! This Early 1912 SCOTTISH Rite [RESEARCH] Consistory - In The Midst of Providing A Collection of Other Extraordinary Factors - Goes Further To State Melechk Shl'awamawa Awa'Yashara'al Was Not Only A Mason Raised To Degree of Master, But, Draws Upon Sacred Knowledge Supporting His Being Raised To Degree of Most Worshipful Right Grand Master of The Institution: Free (And, Accepted) Mason.

   This Explosive Group of Proofs Goes To Dazzle The Passionate & Faithful Believer Enough To End The Investigation There (In Most Occasions, Not Even Daring To Search Any Further). This Fails, However, To Deliver The True Seeker Along The Illumined Path A Real Gathering of Information (The Cumulative Value of Which): "[Clearly, Raising One-] Above Suspicion". For Although It Is An Equally Supportive Set of Reinforcing Facts, That Provides Grater Clarity About These Times. viz., That:

  "1. The Pheonicians Were Well Known To Their Contemporaries As Sea-Traders, And Colonizers By The 2nd Millenium B.C.E.;

  "5. The Oldest Forms of Government In Phoenician Cities Seems To Have Been Kingship - Limited By The Power of The Wealthy (Sea) Merchant Families;

  "6. Hiram, Pheonician King of Tyre (Reigned 979-936 B.C.E.) Appeared In The Bible As An Ally of The Israelite Kings David & Solomon;
